Mission

 Commitment To Your Well-Being

At Resilient Flow Therapy, I offer a welcoming and inclusive psychotherapy practice where teens and adults from all backgrounds are supported in making real, meaningful changes in their lives. Here, you can discover new ways to move through anxiety, self-doubt, and life’s challenges, and begin to experience greater calm, confidence, and connection. Whether you’re seeking relief from old patterns, hoping to build stronger relationships, or longing to feel more authentic and fulfilled, I am here to help you unlock your strengths and create lasting, positive change.

My practice celebrates diversity and honors each person’s story, empowering you to create authentic relationships and a life that reflects who you truly are.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that real change is always possible. Thanks to the science of neuroplasticity, we know that our brains can adapt, grow, and form new pathways throughout life. This means you are not defined by past experiences or current struggles; you have the ability to learn new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding. I am here to help you tap into this natural potential for growth, so you can move forward with hope, resilience, and a renewed sense of possibility.

At Resilient Flow Therapy, I am committed to walking alongside you with warmth and understanding, supporting your journey toward greater wellbeing, hope, and fulfillment.

Dr. Monika Telichowska, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Welcome! I founded Resilient Flow Therapy out of a deep commitment to helping people navigate the challenges of OCD, overwhelming anxiety, disconnection from life, and trauma-related symptoms. My practice is built on the transformative truth that you can learn to respond to your thoughts and feelings in new, empowering ways.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2006, and my journey has given me the privilege of supporting children, teens, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. My extensive experience includes working at California Pacific Medical Center, St. Helena Hospital, Mills College Counseling Center, and Bay Area community-based clinics such as Richmond Child and Adolescent Services, RAMS, Inc., and Ann Martin Center. For more than 10 years, I have also provided psychotherapy in private practice, helping individuals and families build resilience and discover meaningful change.

I believe that it is often through life’s most difficult moments and painful struggles that we become open to transformation and growth. If you’re feeling unsure about therapy, I invite you to approach this process with curiosity and openness, especially if other avenues haven’t brought relief. Psychotherapy offers a safe, honest, and nonjudgmental space to develop effective coping strategies, problem-solving and relational skills, and a deeper awareness of yourself and your connections with others. It is a place to nurture self-compassion and reignite motivation to pursue your goals and dreams.

I understand that building trust and feeling comfortable with your therapist is essential, and that this connection takes time. My approach is collaborative, active, compassionate, and deeply attuned to your unique needs. I strive to create a welcoming environment that embraces your personal preferences and honors your sociocultural identity, including cultural, sexual, gender, ethnic, racial, religious, and spiritual backgrounds.

Using specialized, evidence-based therapies such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness, I offer practical tools to help you step back from intrusive thoughts and intense emotions. Together, we’ll create space for clarity, courage, and meaningful change.

If you’re ready to move beyond struggle and step into a life of resilience and flow, I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey. Let’s connect and discover what’s possible, together.

Within every struggle lies the potential for resilient transformation, reminding us that recovery from difficulties is not a straight path but a winding road shaped by patience, compassion, and an unwavering belief in our ability to heal and adapt. Resilience is not simply a trait—it is a journey that we embark on through challenges, emerging stronger and growing with each experience. Along the way, freedom from anxiety can be found in the gentle flow of acceptance and awareness, allowing us to cultivate peace in the present moment. Healing truly begins when we embrace our brain’s remarkable ability to reshape itself with every new thought, feeling, and experience, demonstrating that change and renewal are always within reach.
